2007 Dreyer Merlot North Coast

This Merlot is dry, fruit laden and smooth at its finish.  Possessing a great mouthfeel and balance, this vintage has a deep garnet color and a rich, silky texture.  Farmed from mature grapes, this Merlot possesses greater backbone than what one would expect from the cooler North Coast.  The medium level tannins are smoothly integrated, and the fruit shows ripe blueberry and dark cherry notes nicely balanced with the influence of toasted oak aging.
